Let’s Study Kirtan provides students from all over the world with a singular opportunity to learn Gurbani Sangeet/Vocal from the comfort of their own homes using an organized program.
basically there is three level beginner , intermediate , advanced and each level in 2 part. Students who are new start with the beginner Level 1 course. New students for admission to any level will be required to take and pass an assessment for the prior level.
The class structure for Gurbani Kirtan includes the following elements:
Warm-up: The class begins with warm-up exercises to prepare the body and voice for singing. These may include breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and stretching.
Shabad Practice: Next, the class focuses on practicing shabads, which are hymns or devotional songs from the Guru Granth Sahib. The instructor may teach new shabads or review previously learned ones, and the class may sing together or take turns singing solo.
Instrumental Practice: If the class includes instrumental practice, this may be a separate section where students learn how to play various instruments used in Gurbani Kirtan, such as the harmonium, tabla, or other stringed instruments like Rabab, Sitar, Medolin, Dilruba, and Esraj.
Theory: In addition to practical exercises, the class may also include theory lessons on topics such as music theory, Gurbani Kirtan history, and spiritual practices associated with this art form.
Performance Practice: As the class progresses, students may have opportunities to perform in front of others, either in the classroom or in public events.
