I am learning tabla from the age of 10 from my father Dr. Paramjit Singh he is a graded artist of
tabla from ALL INDIA RADIO , he learnt from Pt lakshman singh seen , Ustad Darshan singh
(Disciples of Mian Qadir baksh ji ) and prof Bakshi ram ji disciple of Ustad Ahmadjaan thirakwa ,
Now i am learning from renowned artist of ALL INDIA RADIO DELHI PT VINOD PATHAK JI
since one year
ACHIEVEMENTS
1. First Solo performance at the age of 12 at Department of music Panjab university Chandigarh
2. I stood first continuously 3 years at zonal youth festival and first ,second and third in inter zonal
youth festival during study period
3. Declared as a best accompanist of north India in a competition organized by SPIC MACAY
4. Accompanied with ‘A’ graded Sitarist Pt Suparteek sen gupta from Kolkata
5. Given solo performance at Tagore Theatre under the title ‘Chupe rustam’ and at Punjab kala
bhavan organized byChandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy
6. Given solo performance in SUNAAD and RABABI BHAI MARDANA SANGEET
SAMELAN organized by Department of Gurmat Sangeet Punjabi university Patiala
7. I am also getting National Scholarship from Ministry of culture ,government of India
8. I performed as accompanist in NATIONAL TELEVISION AT DOORDARSHAN. On 30 JAN on
the eve of BASANT PANCHMI.
9. On 17 oct i also performed in Chandigarh and this concert was organized by Department of
culture affairs Chandigarh administration.
10. I provide accompaniment on tabla to vocalist and instrumentalist from time to time
Among these i have also performed on various occasions and got appreciation from the Audience
